Guitar software recommendations?

posted May 30, 2014 19:34:09 by AdamLondon
I rarely use an amp these days due to living in a small flat. I have a nice old 30 watt Marshall amp in storage going to waste.

I use garage band a bit since getting my macbook but wanted to know if there are better alternatives out there.

Cheers Adam

I use Agile Ampkit but also have IK Multimedia Amplitube 3 and Amplitube Hendrix which cost hundreds of pounds while Ampkit was less than £35 and is equal to the other 2. Guitar Rig 5 by Native Instruments is very comprehensive as well.

GarageBand is brilliant and there's much in it which is not obvious. Stick with Ampkit.

Ampkit and amplitube are great for the iphone. I use both and love'em!

I have Guitar rig and amplitube, they're both great :) if there is a lot of latency with the sound, just get Asio4all and set it up, it's free :)
