"How To" Forum

posted Apr 29, 2014 06:44:00 by sjcrowe6
Micheal has authored quite a few excellent posts with detailed instructions on how to setup, upgrade and repair these guitars. However, with over 1,300 posts in the "Upgrades and Parts" forum I find it hard to locate and refer other members to them. Maybe a separate "How To" forum that only moderators can create, copy or move new topics to would solve this problem.

THIS EXCELLENT SERIES HAS NOW BEEN MOVED TO THE NEW FORUM PAGES:

Alternatively, when I get a few minutes I'll go back through all the topics and create a sticky thread with links to each that are appropriate - similar to the sellers list.

And thanks for the compliment. Just like to share what I've learned - sometimes the hard way. :)

Thanks for compiling this list. It is great help.

It might be useful to have a link to this thread on "useful tools" as well.

This is my Chibson. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I figured I would throw this link in for good measure. Since many of these guitars come with unpotted pickups, could save you some money by potting your own pickups.
