Maybe you guys know this, but I just noticed that the pokerchip (Toggle switch ring) on Chibsons are wrong too!

Authentic Gibson would have the rhythm and treble in gold while chibsons have them in black, even epiphones have them in gold, guess they don't really have any connection with Epiphone factories..

To Stevetebble
Use a hair drier to remove the toggle switch ring,it will soften the glue

Hair dryer worked for me. Jut leave it on a few minutes as you gently pry up on the chip. When the glue softens it will come right off. You can remove the pickguard on an acoustic guitar the same way.

I use a hair dryer and dental floss to remove glued on pickguards. Mineral oil works well to remove left over glue.

I slid a scalpel blade under mine to remove it. Then lemon oil removed the sticky.
