The custom hard case made by Rare Electric Guitar for their double neck SG's are really nice, with only one small issue. The lid doesn't want to stay shut on the small compartment, causing the contents to spill out when you pick up the case by the handle. Don't want to take a chance that a truss key or a pair of nail clippers will scratch the guitar.
The case is made (inside) entirely of styrofoam, so you can't screw a latch into it anywhere. The plush fabric they use also makes it impossible to attach sticky back velcro and such.
So here is a quick and easy fix.
Just poke a small hole in the fabric on the side (near the top) and shove a spare bridge pin from an acoustic guitar into the styrofoam. Voila, no more floppy door.
Okay, so it's not the ideal solution, but works and it didn't cost a penny since I had some bridge pins laying around.

The two most important things to remember in life: "The only time it's acceptable to work with amateurs is if you are making porn." "If you want to work with clowns, join a circus."
